Worcester State Student Newspapers, 1942-2013

The Worcester State student newspaper covered campus events including entertainment, athletics, and academics, and often touched on issues of local and national significance. Title, format, and publication sequence changed over time and issue numbering may be idiosyncratic. The issues presented here represent those held in print by the archives but may not include all issues published. Volumes are arranged by academic year. 

Collection Details

Title varies: Issues for 1971-1977 called New Student Voice, issues from 1942-1967 called The Acorn, satire April Fools issues titled The Student Vice; Followed the original Student Voice newspaper published from 1967-1970. Used the name New Student Voice until reversion back to the original name with Sept. 4, 1979 issue. -- from statement in Sept. 4, 1979 issue. Publication sequence varied from semi-annual to weekly. Some volumes are numbered.
