Ethnic Studies: Getting Started

Ethnic Studies

Ethnic Studies draws from different academic disciplines including History, Political Science, and Sociology. This multidisciplinary approach gives Ethnic Studies scholars opportunities to explore different subject areas and to identify and interpret different kinds of resources. When researching an Ethnic Studies topic, ask yourself: Which subject areas does my research question include? Which databases and call numbers might help me find resources in that area? Is there subject-specific terminology that might help me?
