H-PCAACA is a member of the H-NET Humanities Online initiative. H-PCAACA encourages scholarly collaboration and discussion about popular, American and world cultures. This network, affiliated with The Popular Culture Association and American Culture Association, also serves as an invitation for scholars and graduate students to join the activities of these internationally recognized organizations.
The PCA/ACA is the premier professional organization for popular culture. In 2003 the Popular Culture Association (founded 1971) and the American Culture Association (founded 1979) merged in order to avoid duplication.
