Oxford Reference  - Now contains 125 core academic subject, language and quotation dictionaries; also 180 in-depth specialist titles from Oxford Encyclopedias and Companions.  

Britannica Online (Academic edition)  - Start here for background information on most topics from the web version of the Encyclopedia Britannica and links to vetted websites. Contains the World Atlas, timelines of history, and the Merriam Websters Collegiate Dictionary and Thesaurus.
